Born in Catania. Lives and works in New York.

Her research explores conditions of power, alienation, invisibility and bewilderment, through the criticism of global economic political systems, often taking inspiration from her native Sicily. The intent is to make visible the ways in which the structures of economic, political and military power affect our lives. Rapicavoli's work is never strictly documentary nor didactic but the artist invites observers to reconsider the present through a critical analysis of the past.
