Riccardo Benassi

Born in Cremona, 1982. Lives and works between Berlin and Italy.

Benassi pursues his research towards the use of architecture as a celebration of sensory experience, allowing the idea to disperse in changing formats. In his work he passes with ease from the visual arts, to writing, to architecture, to design, to performance, up to music. Explorer of contemporary living in the metropolis - Jimmie Durham called him "an artist of the cities" - Riccardo Benassi is also interested in the change induced in our lives by technology, an invisible but constantly present element. In his research he uses a methodology that favors encounters, collaborations and connections capable of constantly expanding his survey spectrum.
