Born in Pescara, 1979. Lives and works in Pescara.

Of traditional Chinese painting, Matteo Fato's works has the skilful draughtsmanship used in describing the object. A Chinese artist pays less attention to the external aspects of his subject then to its spirit and its inner characteristics. There is another element that Matteo Fato's painting has in common with Chinese art: brush and Indian ink work together organically through the gesture, expressing all the force that this medium can offer.
